FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions investors raise before the first mandate. Answered generally here; specifically on a call.

Can foreign investors own 100% of a company in Vietnam?

In most business sectors Vietnam permits 100% foreign ownership. Certain conditional sectors carry ownership caps, licensing conditions or joint-venture requirements. We review your specific sector and advise on the ownership structure available for your project.

How long does company registration take?

Timelines depend on the sector, the chosen investment vehicle and how complete the documents are. A straightforward wholly foreign-owned enterprise usually involves obtaining an IRC followed by an ERC. We manage the process end to end and give a realistic timeline after reviewing the project.

Do you advise in English and Vietnamese?

Yes.

Which matters does the firm handle?

Market entry and company incorporation, FDI structuring, mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, commercial contracts, labour and HR compliance, legal due diligence, intellectual property, litigation and dispute resolution, and tax coordination — with a particular focus on manufacturing and cross-border investment.

Is TTH part of an international network?

Yes. TTH operates as an independent advisory firm in Ho Chi Minh City.

Do you support factory and industrial-zone projects?

Yes. We advise manufacturers on industrial-zone selection, land-use rights, environmental and construction permits, and labour compliance. See the Manufacturing Investment guide for more detail.
